Reflecting on the last few days...

Sitting here after a wonderful sunny and windy day exploring downtown Toronto with Diane... and I am trying to think about what I want to write here...

I simply don't know what I want to pick out and write about... I actually think my brain is going on strike and that it is just going to digest EVERYTHING that I have experienced in the last few days.. I am also missing having photos connecting to my blog... as I am a visual learner I find I need them to support my thinking and writing too... the more I think about it the more it could be just that that is causibg this feeling of "wheree do I start to write"

On my way home from work is usually where I start sorting the photos of the day, re-running the story of the day, seeing the children's learning and my own learning...

Later in the evening I go through the photos again on my computer and seeing the things I missed the first time and put together the story of the day... usually that story comes from my experiences, small quotes from the children, observations, the sorting of the photos on the way home, but the editing happens in front of the computer while I look at the images and see details I missed in real life... I also have short sequences of film that remind me of the learning and the energy of the day.

I miss that now. And instead of a daily dose of story telling I have an epic waiting for me to sort and write and analyse and make sense of... I am looking forward to that... But right now I am not quite ready for that...

One last day in Canada... One more setting to visit... and some beach combing and then onto the airplane back to Stockholm. I am saving my brain capacity for that experience...
Afterall it is pretty much full to capacity at the moment...

  1. Suzanne,
I thank you for bringing your wisdom and energy to us. I so enjoyed your workshop on Saturday. You have left me with many thoughts to ponder and ideas that will hopefully find their way into the work I do with post secondary students. Safe travels and I really hope you enjoyed your visit to Canada.

I had a wonderful time in Canada... and will be processing and reflecting on my stay for some time yet...
