The Log books

The log books have been taking a bit of a back burner of late... I am printing out images, ready to glue in and to start reflections with the children... but I am just not getting them into the books...

I feel a little pang of guilt... but at the same time I sort of expected this. Both Ellen and I are not in the routine of doing these log books... so it IS something that we have to think about actively to remember... and we have been prioritising the children and welcoming a new member into our team of pedagogues - this of course means we have been in a transistion phase... not only for the children but for all three of us as pedagogues... we have to get to know each other.

So, really we have been investing our time in the social atmosphere of the group... which can only mean that when we do take the log books out (hopefully this week now, since I have the log books at the front of my mind) the children will feel more settled and able to be reflective...

Tomorrow Ellen and I will sit down and reflect... over what has been happening, the learning, the developments, what we have achieved with the project and how we hope to proceed. We have booked time for a LONG reflection so that we can delve as deep as we need into our processes.  I feel quite excited about this...

... and no doubt we can spend some time getting those images into the logbooks and preparing them ready for the children...
